Meeting location: 8345 Winston St., Burnaby, BC (Greater Vancouver Food Bank warehouse). Please use the accessibility ramp to enter the warehouse. Look for the volunteer lounge on your right after entering.

Time: Please try to arrive around 9:20AM. We will be volunteering from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Notes:

• We will be helping to provide healthy food to clients. Tasks will include handing out food, restocking, line management, recycling cardboard, assembling program packs, or sorting produce. You will have to welcome clients, talk to them about what is available, and ensure a safe environment, so customer service skills and a friendly disposition are a must! Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing, and avoid wearing strong scents.
• There are a few lockers available in the volunteer lounge.
• Street parking and the parking stalls in front of Raider Hansen are available due to them being closed on Saturdays.
• You must be able to stand for an extended period of time and have the ability to bend, twist, lift a maximum of 30 lbs; accommodations can be discussed, however!
• Refreshments will be provided and there is a fridge, microwave, and kettle available.
