The Community Wave Volunteer Festival is taking an intentional pause this year as we work behind the scenes to bring you a reimagined celebration, one that better honours the incredible volunteers and organizations that make Vancouver's community thrive. What is the Community Wave Festival?

Community Wave Festival is a community focused event that connects people with local nonprofits, volunteer opportunities, and positive community initiatives across Metro Vancouver.
 

The festival is designed to make community involvement more approachable and engaging through interactive booths, activities, performances, and opportunities to meet organizations doing meaningful work.
 

Whether you’re looking to volunteer, discover local causes, or simply spend the day connecting with others, there’s something for everyone.

A Look Back at 2025

The Community Wave Festival, previously known as the Grand Volunteer Celebration, was a huge success in 2025 as Western Canada’s largest volunteer festival. The event brought together local organizations, volunteers, and community members from across Metro Vancouver for a day focused on connection, community, and giving back.
 
We are so grateful to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make the event such a memorable celebration of volunteering.
