About the event

Captain Scott Legacy Society Volunteer Ambassadors will be hosting an intergenerational planting exchange at a local senior home in East Vancouver. Our youthful volunteers will bond with seniors as they share stories of flowers, plants,  and gardening. Both the young and old will be volunteering this day, as the youth engage the seniors, and the seniors will share their wisdom. Join us for an incredibly unique community-building event!

What’s going to happen?

  • Connect through conversation about flowers, plants, and gardening with seniors

  • Personalize your own flower pot and support a senior’s with their own

  • Plant daffodil bulbs or other plants

  • Contribute to a collaborative art project that will be placed in the senior home common area to brighten up space
