Some volunteer days are simply unforgettable. May 23rd's Saturday Bingo at Whole Way House's Veterans' Manor was one of them. What started as a routine afternoon quickly became something much more– for our Volunteer Wave community, the staff at Veterans' Manor, and the residents themselves. On May 2nd, 2026, our Volunteer Wave community partnered with Web of Life, an environmental stewardship non-profit serving the Lower Mainland, for a trail and forest clean-up in Stanley Park, one of Vancouver's most beloved oceanfront parks. Saturday Bingo at Whole Way House's Veterans' Manor in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside is always a treat– and the residents make sure you know it from the moment you arrive. On our latest cleanup on March 23, we teamed up with UBC Best Buddies for an afternoon out on the UBC campus. The skies were cloudy, but that did not stop anyone for even a second.
